Overview of position
Will be a subject matter expert on using Alchemy Manager, Player, Coach and Playbook. Facilitate training for onboarding new hires that consists of OSHA and RJW Safety training, and classroom functional training. Conduct observations on Trainers to ensure they are training effectively. Conduct observations on employees as needed. Coordinate with operations and EHS to schedule training for annual refresher and cross-training for warehouse employees. Generate reports to track progress of training. Train new trainers on Alchemy. Partner with Training Supervisors / Lead Trainers on coordination of onboarding training. MHE certification is not required but a plus. Knowledge of warehousing is preferred. Previous training / facilitating experience is required. Flexible schedule required to work 1st, 2nd or split shift.
The Field Operations Trainer will conduct the onboarding training on Day 1 after orientation. Since training is done currently at 4 buildings, FOTs will rotate doing the Day one training. If not doing onboarding on Monday, they will be facilitating refresher training. Tuesday’s FOTs will start the training in classroom and then hand off training to the Warehouse Trainers for their On-the-Job training. The new hire training will take about 1 hour. After that, they will conduct annual refresher training or do other classroom training (i.e. employee’s being cross-trained into other functions and then handed off to a warehouse trainer or partner with another employee). Flexibility in schedule is needed to work 1st/2nd or a split shift to train all employees on their shifts. Organization and coordination is needed to plan and schedule training accordingly. A good understanding of warehouse operations and SOPs is needed to assist with observations to identify any gaps or identifying skills for certification for job qualification.
