Job Purpose: This position will have the responsibility for assisting the Facilities and Safety Manager with vendors and RJW Transport contract mechanics in addition to maintaining all company warehouse equipment and premises which includes forklifts, building maintenance. Will also report AIB standards for all warehouses. This position will report to the Facilities Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that all maintenance activities in our facilities are appropriately carried out.

• Superior customer service skills including the ability to manage difficult customers and/or situations.

• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
• General computer knowledge.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to be on-call for responding after-hour emergencies.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Coordinates forklift maintenance and repair.
• Ensures audit requirements at multiple facilities are maintained.
• Provide training for multiple facilities for new hires on safety.
• Assess damages and reports them to respective facility manager for disciplinary follow up
• Able to fix routine maintenance items without supervision or instruction.
• Promotes and monitors safety of all employees at all facilities.
• Maintains detailed training and safety logs.

• Valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Vehicle to travel to other RJW Locations

• AIB Audit/ Organic Audit knowledge

• Sit-down, reach, walkie rider, clamp, scissor lift: 2 years

Education and/or Experience Required:

• High school or equivalent
• Running a high volume of training courses to certify material handlers on equipment.
• Concrete drilling and power tool knowledge
• Fast paced work environment
• Vast knowledge of the sit-down, reach, walkie rider, clamp, cherry picker, scissor lift
